Isolation 2nd Final Image:
I handed in my Words assignment last Tuesday, with a smile on my face. I have to say out of all the projects I have completed so far, this one has to be my favorite. I feel I am starting to work images and create more than just PURTTY pictures.
Anyway, here is the 2nd final image for the isolation concept. One of the images had to be shot in the studio, so I decided that a still life would give more flexibility to approach the word visually. The idea behind this image is two fold.
1- An Isolated scene- Jack Daniels, one glass, one fag, one, match burnt out. Obviously one being echoed through the image relates to being alone and being isolated from others. Also smokers now are Isolated outside blah blah.
2- Racism: I decided to subtly portray the Isolation involved in being someone different. So if we look at the matches we see a bunch of red head matches and one burnt out BLACK. I also added a telephone number and a name which I am not going to explain, to see if anyone gives a fuck enough to find out about.
